Surfing for Employability and Environmental Action
WAVES OF OPPORTUNITY is an Erasmus+ Sport project that transforms surfing
into a pathway for employability, social inclusion, and environmental action.
The project supports young people facing economic and social barrier, particularly NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) and financially disadvantaged youth, by providing accessible surf training, eco-entrepreneurship education, and international learning opportunities.
By combining sport, sustainability, and professional development, WAVES OF OPPORTUNITY promotes a new model of inclusive and responsible surf culture across Europe.
Our Vision
We believe that surfing is more than a sport.
WAVES OF OPPORTUNITY promotes surfing as a tool for empowerment, resilience, and environmental stewardship. Through structured training, mentorship, and community engagement, the project supports young people in building confidence, professional skills, and sustainable career pathways.
Our vision is to strengthen coastal communities by connecting youth, surf organisations, researchers, and policymakers in a shared effort to create long-term economic and environmental impact.
